Public Yoga Classes
My yoga classes and workshops are based on yoga therapy and vinyāsa krama, where the breath aligns with movement and the sequence slowly builds up over time. I believe that while āsana practice is important, it doesn’t have to be advanced or complicated for one to experience the benefits of yoga. I consider correct breathing and developing inner attention more important, as these also help us enter the postures safely. I welcome all practitioners with an interest in yoga and currently offer two types of classes.
SEPTEMBER 2024
Tuesdays 18:00 – 19:15 – Yoga Therapy (CZ, 100dulky, Prague 5)
Thursdays 18:00 – 19:15 – Vinyasa Yoga (CZ, 100dulky, Prague 5)
Vinyasa Krama is suitable for everyone feeling generally fit, without major health issues, acute injuries, or limitations in mobility, and who is comfortable with prolonged forward bends. The focus of the class is mainly on correct form. The structure of the sequences is typically very similar, and the goal is to support students in remembering it over time and bringing it home to their mat. I welcome beginners, but this class will suit those best who already have some knowledge of yoga.
In Yoga Therapy, we will go through a gentle practice oriented inwards. Each slow movemnet aligns with breath and the focus is on understanding the current needs and possibilities of our body. Typically working with a specific theme, supporting stress relief and relaxation. These classes are suitable for all levels and are ideal for anyone who wants to establish a good body and mind connection, explore correct breathing and posture. We will cover the basics, which will be beneficial in any yoga practice.
In private lessons I help students to develop their own personal practice fitted to their needs. The first class is always 90 minutes long and includes a 30 min consultation where we talk about what would be good to focus on. If you decide to book a private class, please don’t hesitate to describe me your previous experience with yoga and intentions in detail in an e-mail before our meeting. It will help us to be more in tune and work up to the point when we meet.
I enjoy guiding longer workshops that provide the opportunity to dive deep into specific topics, offering a more immersive experience. These workshops are often featured at festivals or special events, where we can take our time. Currently, I offer workshops on breathwork, women’s wellbeing, and using yoga to improve sleep quality. Each session is designed to help participants connect more profoundly with their bodies and minds while offering practical tools for everyday life.
