BARBORA BLAHO

I believe in the power of practice.

Originally a medical anthropologist studying holistic forms of healing, I have been practising yoga influenced by the teachings of Sri T. Krishnamacharya since 2015. In 2019, after a few years of studying ashtanga vinyāsa with various teachers in Europe, I travelled to India to advance my studies in the KPJAYI Institute, Mysore. After returning to Europe in 2020 I completed a 200h teacher training in vinyāsa yoga with the Prague Yoga Collective and started teaching public classes. Becoming a mum led me to focus on the tools of yoga therapy and Ayurveda. I am grateful for the opportunity to keep on studying with the Mohan family, in the Svastha Yoga Therapy Programme.

Apart from yoga I enjoy organising events focused on improving mental health and wellbeing. As an anthropologist, I have worked in mental health research and I am interested in transpersonal topics, specifically the use of altered states of consciousness in the process of self-discovery, healing and recovery.

Looking forward to practicing together!
